Ref: SIDROCO-22-09-PM 

Location: Nicosia, Cyprus or Thessaloniki, Greece

Employment: Fix-term; full time (40 hours) 

Type: Information Technology/Engineering/Management 

We are looking for an experienced project manager responsible for leading SIDROCO’s European research portfolio. The duties will include the daily implementation activities and management of the projects and support of a team of researchers.

Your role and responsibilities

The role’s responsibilities include:

• Management and implementation of European Commission (EC)-funded Information Technology (IT)  projects.
• Daily communication with product owners, software architects, and other internal or external stakeholders to identify business and technical problems while also identifying risks at both management and technical level.
• Resource identification, sizing, and planning for projects.
• Develop detailed project plans for all priority projects and ongoing projects to meet agreed delivery schedules.
• Assist the team in day-to-day operations and project activities through assignment and supervision of technical and communication tasks.
• Quality control on technical reporting to the project coordination team and the EU reporting.

• University Bachelor’s Degree from an IT or Engineering department.
• Excellent use of English language (verbal and written).
• Desire to learn new things and learn fast with minimal supervision.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Awareness of emerging technologies.
• Self-motivated and proactive, ability to anticipate issues early.
• Consensus builder across diverse interest groups.
• Ability to manage complexity and uncertainty.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience as a Project Manager, working directly with software engineers in an agile environment.
• Experience in working on projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in participating in national or EU-funded projects.
• Experience with project management tools such as Confluence.
• Excellent command of English and Greek, both written and oral.
• Experience in software development.
• Understanding cyber-security concepts.
• University Master’s Degree.
• Experience in working on research and development (RD) projects.
