OFFER DESCRIPTION


The Center for the Study of Hematological and other Malignancies (CSHM, https://cshm.ac.cy/ ) in close association with Karaiskakio Foundation (https://karaiskakio.org.cy/ ), Nicosia, Cyprus, is looking to recruit a highly motivated researcher (with a PhD or Master’s with significant research experience) to work on a project investigating methods to improve adoptive T cell therapy of cancer. The selected candidate will join a team of experienced post-doctoral researchers led by Dr. Paul Costeas. The project involves a close collaboration with Dr. Philippos Demetriou (CSHM) and Dr. Triantafyllos Stylianopoulos (University of Cyprus.)
 
The successful candidate will utilise both in vitro and in vivo tools to investigate methods aiming to enhance adoptive T cell therapy in cancer mouse models.
 
Required Qualifications:


  • PhD in Cellular Biology, Molecular or relevant field or a Master’s with extensive research experience in aforementioned relevant fields.

  • Knowledge and/or experience in the field of immunology and/or cancer will be considered an advantage.

  • The successful candidate should be an independent thinker, with excellent communication, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.

 
This is a 3-year, full time funder position.
