The School of Humanities, Social and Education Sciences, Department of Social Behavioral Sciences of European University Cyprus is seeking to recruit qualified academics at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor in the following discipline:

Duties and responsibilities:

  • As described in the University’s Charter Bylaws

Qualifications required:

  • Doctorate degree (PhD or Psych.D in Counselling Psychology (Applied))

  • Expertise in Psychological Interventions and Psychotherapeutic models 

  • Minimum 3 years of previous clinical experience after obtaining a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology

  • An active professional license for the year 2023-2024 from the Cyprus Council of Registration of Psychologists (ΣΕΨ) in the specialty of Counselling Psychology 

  • Training and/or Clinical Experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and/or Humanistic Approaches will be considered an advantage

  • Training and/or Teaching Experience in Qualitative Research Methods will be considered an advantage

  • The coordination of Applied Academic programs in Clinical/Counselling Psychology and/or Clinical Internships/Practicums will be considered an advantage

  • Technology oriented

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Fluency in Greek and English

Former Teaching Experience :

  • For the rank of Lecturer substantial proof of competence in teaching and research is required

  • For the rank of Assistant Professor at least 3 years of continuous academic and research experience in renowned academic institutions is required
