Offer Description

Senior assistant, in the scientific field: Biotechnical Sciences, for work on the HRZZ Establishment Project "Neretva Mandarin - Chemical Characterization and Innovative Post-Harvest Treatments" (UIP-2020-02-7496), for a fixed period, full-time at the Department of Chemistry, Department of Agroecology - 1 position;

Candidates under point 1., in addition to general conditions for employment, must meet the conditions determined by the Law on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (NN 119/22) and the Statute of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture.

In addition to a hand-signed application, candidates are required to submit:

- curriculum vitae,

- proof of the appropriate level of education (a copy of the diploma of acquired professional qualification required for the job position applied for or decisions/opinions of the Agency for Science and Higher Education in case of foreign educational qualifications),

- electronic record of the labor legal status from the Croatian Institute for Pension Insurance (ERPS)/e-workbook,

- proof of citizenship (a copy of ID card, passport, or citizenship certificate),

- signed statement – explicit consent for the announcement of the competition result on the Faculty's website.

Candidates under point 1. must meet the requirement: completed doctoral studies in the field of biotechnical sciences.

In accordance with the Gender Equality Act (Official Gazette nos. 82/08, 125/11, 20/12, 138/12, 69/17), persons of both genders may apply for the public competition under equal conditions.

Only a person who submits a timely and complete application and meets the formal requirements of the call will be considered as a candidate. A complete application is considered to be one that contains all personal data, a hand-signed application, and attachments listed in the competition.

The application for the public call must specify: the job position from the call for which the candidate applies, the personal data of the candidate: first name, last name, date of birth, address, telephone number, preferably email address.

A candidate who invokes the right to priority employment under: – Article 102 of the Law on Croatian War Veterans and Members of Their Families (NN nos. 121/17, 98/19, and 84/21); – Article 48.f of the Law on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids (NN nos. 33/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13, and 98/19); - Article 48 of the Law on Civilian Victims of War (NN number 84/21); – Article 9 of the Law on Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (NN nos. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18, and 32/20), must invoke that right in the application for the competition and has priority over other applicants only under the same conditions. A candidate who invokes in the application for the competition the right to priority employment in accordance with Article 102 of the Law on Croatian War Veterans and Members of Their Families and Article 48 of the Law on Civilian Victims of War, in addition to evidence of meeting the required conditions, must also submit all necessary evidence available at the link

A candidate who, in the application, invokes the right to priority employment in accordance with Article 48.f of the Law on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids, must, in addition to evidence of meeting the required conditions, submit a decision or certificate showing the mentioned right and evidence of how their employment relationship ended. A candidate who invokes the right to priority employment in accordance with Article 9 of the Law on Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities must, in addition to evidence of meeting the required conditions, submit evidence of disability. A candidate who invokes the right to priority employment in accordance with Article 22 of the Constitutional Law on the Rights of National Minorities is not required to prove their status as a member of a national minority.

The University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture processes the data provided by candidates in accordance with the provisions of positive regulations governing the protection of personal data. The provided data will be processed for the purpose of conducting the competition for employment and will not be used for other purposes.

Candidates are subject to a trial period in accordance with the provisions of the Basic Collective Agreement for Civil Servants and Employees in Public Services. Candidates who meet the required conditions will be invited, if necessary, for an interview and/or testing via the email address provided in the application. Untimely and incomplete applications will not be considered.

Applications for the public call with evidence of meeting the conditions for point 1. must be submitted within 30 days from the publication of the competition in the Official Gazette.
