Based on the Decision of the Council of the Faculty of Physics of the University of Rijeka
Faculty of Physics, Radmile Matejčić 2, is advertising the following positions:

1. One position for a senior assistant (m/f), in an employment relationship for a definite period with full-time employment, for the scientific field of Natural Sciences, field of Geophysics

Applicants must meet the conditions prescribed by the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (NN 119/22.) and the regulations based on it.

Application must contain:        
- Curriculum vitae,       
- a copy of the proof of citizenship of the Republic of Croatia or another country,         
- a copy of proof of appropriate professional training, i.e. the academic degree of Doctor of Science,
- list of works and relevant works for selection (referse to the position no. 1., 2. and 3.)
- a decision on the recognition of a foreign educational qualification for those candidates who obtained the qualification abroad (or proof that the recognition procedure is in progress),
- certificate of occupational medicine on health capacity, i.e. necessary psychophysical characteristics (for the first employment at the University of Rijeka).

• Preference for the position 1. of this tender will be given to candidates who demonstrated:

- having demonstrated experience in the following research areas of interest to the Faculty of Physics: completed graduate university studies in Physics-Geophysics (mag. phys.-geophys/dipl. ing. physics-geophysics), experience in scientific research in meteorology and climatology, a track record of success in producing quality research outputs, and success in publishing research papers as well as demonstrated skills and experience in using air quality numerical models and statistical methods in fields of meteorology and climatology, teaching excellence and four years or more of experience teaching physics and geophysics (meteorology and physical oceanography) at the university level using different and innovative methodologies.
