Offer Description
The University of Zagreb Faculty of Food and Biotechnology, based on articles 50, 51, 52 and 58 of the Statute of the University of Zagreb Food and Biotechnology and in accordance with the Instructions for the employment of assistants and senior assistants at HZRZ, projects of the faculty are tendered PUBLIC COMPETITION • one employee for a first-class position - senior assistant in the scientific field of biotechnical science, scientific field of food technology, on the project of the Croatian Science Foundation "Digitalization of non-thermal extraction of proteins from plant by-products and electroforming as an output product" at the Institute for General Programs University of Zagreb, Faculty of Food and Biotechnology, for a certain period of time in full time. Mandatory conditions: - All candidates of the Competition must meet the general conditions prescribed by the Labor Act ("Narodne novine" no. 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22 and 64/23) and the provisions of the Act on Higher Education and scientific activity ("Narodne novine" no. 119/2022), Article 91 of the Statute of the University of Zagreb and Article 58 of the Statute of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Food and Biotechnology, and Instructions for the employment of assistants and senior assistants on HZRZ projects. Preferred criteria: - minimum 3 years of experience working in a laboratory, - knowledge of working on devices for performing advanced extraction techniques, such as applications of high-power ultrasound, and applications of high-voltage electric discharge - work experience in the field of Industry 4.0 - knowledge of gas and liquid chromatography techniques Mandatory conditions: - All candidates of the Competition must meet the general conditions prescribed by the Labor Act ("Narodne novine" no. 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22 and 64/23) and the provisions of the Act on Higher Education and scientific activity ("Narodne novine" no. 119/2022), Article 91 of the Statute of the University of Zagreb and Article 58 of the Statute of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Food and Biotechnology, and Instructions for the employment of assistants and senior assistants on HZRZ projects. Conditions for hiring senior assistants according to the Instructions for hiring assistants and senior assistants on HZRZ projects - a person who has been engaged in scientific work for a maximum of ten years (from enrollment in doctoral studies) can be employed as a senior assistant. The period can be extended depending on maternity/parental leave or long-term illness, before or after obtaining the PhD. The mentioned period of 10 years does not include the time that the candidate did not spend in the science system (for example, work in the private sector). - Senior assistants can be employed on projects financed by HRZZ at most twice, that is, on two different projects, each of which the employment relationship can last for a maximum of 2 years.

Along with the application for the competition, it is necessary to attach the following in addition to the above in the text:

1. CV;

2. application (indication of the position to which he applies);

3. confirmation of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute (HZMO) about the data recorded in the HZMO database, i.e. Electronic records; not older than the date of publication of this Competition

4. proof of appropriate professional training from which it can be determined that the candidate meets the conditions for selection to the appropriate position;

5. proof of the specified desirable and mandatory criteria and experiences;

6. decision on the recognition of foreign educational qualification for those candidates who obtained the qualification abroad;

7. proof of knowledge of the Croatian language level C2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​- foreign nationals;

Registered candidates (m/f) who are shortlisted may be invited for an interview and/or testing.

Candidates who invoke the right of priority in employment in accordance with:

– Article 102 of the Law on Croatian Veterans of the Homeland War and Members of Their Families (Official Gazette No. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21);

- Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (Official Gazette No. 157/13, 152/14 and 39/18), they are obliged to refer to this right in their application for the competition and have priority over other candidates only under equal conditions.

A candidate who is invited in the tender application for the right of priority in employment in accordance with Article 102 of the Act on Croatian Veterans of the Homeland War and their family members, along with the application for the public tender, is obliged to submit, in addition to proof of fulfillment of the required conditions, the evidence prescribed by the article 103, paragraph 1 of the Act on Croatian Veterans of the Homeland War and their family members, which are published on the website of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans: .https://branitelji.gov.hr/zaposljavanje-843/843 .
 

A candidate who, in his application, refers to the right of priority in employment in accordance with Article 48.f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids, must, in addition to proof of fulfillment of the required conditions, attach a decision or certificate from which the above is clearly stated right and proof of how his employment ended.

A candidate who, in his application, refers to the right of priority in employment in accordance with Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities must, in addition to proof of fulfillment of the required conditions, also submit proof of disability.

Pursuant to Art. 13. paragraph 1. (Official Gazette No. 82/08, 69/17) of the Law on Gender Equality, persons of both sexes can apply for the competition.
