Based on Articles 39 and 40 of the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act (OG No. 119/22) and the Decision of the Institute's Scientific Council, the Institute for Social Research in Zagreb, Amruševa 11/II, announces

VACANCY

For the selection to the systematized scientific position of

– Research Associate, in the scientific area of Social Sciences, field of Sociology – 1 position.

The employment is full-time and based on indefinite-term contract with the obligation of conducting re-election or election to a higher scientific title every five years.

Candidates shall:

– meet the conditions for the selection to the scientific position of Research Associate stipulated by the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act (OG No. 119/2022),

– meet the conditions for the selection to the scientific position of Research Associate stipulated by the Rulebook on the Selection to Scientific Positions of the Institute for Social Research in Zagreb (https://wwwadmin.idi.hr/uploads/Pravilnikoizborunaznanstvenaradnamjesta… )

– have experience of active participation in scientific research projects in social sciences.

Priority will be given to candidates meeting the following conditions:

– experience of working on scientific research projects encompassing topics from the domain of sociology

– experience of leading competitive scientific research projects

– published scientific papers in journals indexed in national and international bases,

– presentations at international scientific conferences

– research interest related to social-ecological topics.

Along with the application, candidates shall submit:

– CV

– PhD Certificate

– Decision on the election to the scientific title in the required scientific field

– List of published scientific papers and list of research projects in which the candidate participated as a researcher or leader

– Proof of meeting the conditions set out in the Rulebook on the Selection to Scientific Positions of the Institute for Social Research in Zagreb

– Proof of the data evidenced in the Croatian Pension Insurance data base

– Proof of the required B2 level of knowledge of Croatian (for foreign candidates).

A person submitting a completed application with all the required supplements in due time and meeting the conditions set out in the vacancy shall be considered a candidate.

Short-listed candidates may be invited to an interview/test.

The salary for the position is regulated by the Regulation on Job Titles and Job Complexity Coefficients in Public Services. The employment includes a probationary 6-month period. Candidates of both genders are eligible to apply. Candidates invoking their rights of priority in access to employment shall submit the prescribed documents proving their status.
