The Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Zagreb, Trg Nikole Šubića Zrinskog 11, announces the following

 

CONTEST

 

For one vacancy in the function of associate in the scientific area of natural sciences, field of biology, at the Institute of Ornithology of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Zagreb. The working post is of temporary nature, for the purposes and for the duration of the project entitled “Keeping biodiversity through care of dry grasslands” (acronym CarEx) until 31st August 2027.

Terms and conditions:

In addition to the general employment terms and conditions, candidates ought to meet special terms and conditions set in Article 39 of the Croatian Science and Academic Education Act (Official Gazette no. 119/2022):

 

• Completed university undergraduate and graduate studies or integrated undergraduate and graduate studies in the scientific area of natural sciences, field of biology.

Additional (Priority) terms and conditions:

1. Working experience in ornithological projects, capability to conduct professional ornithological projects and field research autonomously;

2. Valid bird ringing licence;

3. High-level computer literacy;

4. Category B driving licence.

 

Enclosures to the application:

1. Copy of requested studies diploma in the subject area and field (copy of degree diploma);

2. Proof of working experience (electronic copy issued by the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute);

3. Curriculum vitae;

4. Proof of fulfilling additional terms and conditions (items 1–4);

5. Copy of certificate of the Croatian citizenship or certificate of a foreign state citizenship;

6. Copy of certificate of no criminal record, issued 6 months previously at the latest.

Foreign nationals ought to enclose the proof of the knowledge of the Croatian language (level C2) in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and the certificate on the acknowledgement of foreign academic qualification, issued by the Agency for Science and Academic Education.
