The successful candidate is expected to teach courses in older Croatian and English literature. The courses on Croatian literature are taught in Croatian, while those on English literature are taught in English.
While almost all the teaching is in English, all the administrative workload is in Croatian, which requires near-native proficiency in both languages.
Candidates are expected to submit the following documents:
- self-signed application,
- CV (Europass),
- Copy of PhD diploma; if issued by a university outside Croatia, a certified translation in Croatian and the proof the degree’s recognition (or of application for diploma recognition issued by the Croatian Agency for Science and Higher Education),
- Proof of relevant university teaching experience (including BA and MA theses supervision) and proof of meeting the required research output criteria at the level of research fellow (‘znanstveni savjetnik’), as defined by the Croatian Law on Scientific Activity and Higher Education (Zakon o znanstvenoj djelatnosti i visokom obrazovanju, NN 123/03, 198/03, 105/04, 174/04, 2/07 – Odluka USRH, 46/07, 45/09, 63/11, 94/13, 139/13, 101/14 – Odluka USRH, 60/15 & 131/17) and related legal framework,
- Copy of ID,
- Description of scientific, teaching and professional experience with supporting documents ,
- List of publications and copies of publications.
The application with documentation is submitted in written and digital form on a CD or a USB stick.
Individuals of both genders may apply under the same conditions.
Applicants who are not Croatian native speakers must either submit the proof of proficiency in Croatian language (advanced level).
