Offer Description

Postdoctoral Fellow in the Laboratory for Biological Effects of Metals at Division of Marine and Environmental Research of the Rudjer Boskovic Institute in Zagreb, Croatia. The successful candidate should have a background in natural sciences (PhD in biological sciences) and experience with sampling and processing of macrozoobenthos.

The successful candidate should have PhD in fields of Biological sciences. 

Specific Requirements

Preference will be given to candidates that have experience with sampling and processing of macrozoobenthos, with making environmental monitoring reports, and that have published scientific papers on macrozoobenthos.

In addition to the application form document, applicant needs to provide: Curriculum Vitae (CV), Diploma, e-mail address of at least one referee, and other evidence needed for satisfying position related selection criteria.

Selected candidates who have achieved their higher qualifications outside Croatia will be required, before the signing of the employment contract, to obtain the Ruling on the Recognition of Foreign Higher Educational Qualifications issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education. The candidate cannot be employed as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Republic of Croatia for a total of more than four years.

The employment, according to the Rules of Croatian Science Foundation - for work on a project as Postdoctoral Fellow, can be contracted a maximum of two times (i.e. on two different projects). The employment includes a six-month trial period.
