Offer Description

Postdoctoral Fellow in the Laboratory for Marine and Atmospheric Biogeochemistry, Division for Marine and Environmental Research, Rudjer Boskovic Institute, Zagreb, Croatia. The successful candidate should have a background in natural sciences (PhD in natural sciences), scientific experience in analytical methods used for characterization of organic matter in the environmental matrices, including seawater and atmosphere, with active knowledge of English in speech and writing.

Specific Requirements

The preference will be given to candidates with: scientific experience in analytical methods used for characterization of organic matter in the environmental matrices, including seawater and atmosphere, experience in seawater and aerosol sampling, participation in scientific research (published peer-reviewed scientific papers, work on scientific projects, personal presentations on scientific conferences etc.), driving licence (B category).

Additional comments

Selected candidates who have achieved their higher qualifications outside Croatia will be required, before the signing of the employment contract, to obtain the Ruling on the Recognition of Foreign Higher Educational Qualifications issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education. The candidate cannot be employed as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Republic of Croatia for a total of more than four years.

The employment, according to the Rules of Croatian Science Foundation - for work on a project as Postdoctoral Fellow, can be contracted a maximum of two times (i.e. on two different projects). The employment includes a six-month trial period.
