Offer Description

Postdoctoral fellow position at the Rudjer Boskovic Institute - Division of Molecular Medicine, Laboratory for Oxidative Stress, for the work on the  project „Circulating Extracellular Vesicles as Predictors of Antidepressant Response: Monitoring the Mechanism of Novel Therapeutic Approaches in Depression”, funded by Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ). Fixed-term employment: 4 years maximum, 1 position. Job title: Postdoctoral Fellow.

Skills/Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with:
-    experience working with cell culture and mass spectrometry methods as well as chemometric / bioinformatics data analysis.
-    previous scientific publications and presentations at scientific conferences

Specific Requirements

In addition to the general criteria for establishing an employment relationship from Article 39, Paragraph 7 of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity, candidates should meet the following criteria:

PhD academic degree in Natural Sciences (field: Biology), PhD academic degree in Biomedicine and Health (field: Basic Medical Science), or PhD academic degree in Interdisciplinary Scientific Area (field: Biotechnology in Biomedicine);

-    Active knowledge of the English language, both oral and writing;

-    Experience in scientific research, use of basic molecular biology techniques and analysis of omics data

 

 

In addition to the application form document, applicant needs to provide: Curriculum Vitae (CV), a Certification of Degree, e-mail address of at least one referee, and other evidence needed for satisfying position related selection criteria. 

Fixed-term employment: 4 years. 

The candidate cannot be employed as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Republic of Croatia longer than four years. If the candidate was previously employed as Postdoctoral Fellow, the contract can be signed for a duration that will cover up to four years. In such a case, the candidate must provide previous contracts showing engagement as a Postdoctoral Fellow.

This employment includes a six-month trial period.
