Postdoctoral fellow position at the Rudjer Boskovic Institute - Division of Molecular Medicine, Laboratory for Metabolism and Aging, for the work on the project IP-2022-10-4806 "Investigation of sex-specific metabolic effects of Sirtuin 3 in obesity-related diseases - Obese Sirt", funded by Croatian Science Foundation (HrZZ); Interdisciplinary Scientific Area, field: Biotechnology in Biomedicine, 1 position. Fixed-term employment: 4 years maximum. 1 position. Skills/Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with the following qualifications:

- experience in working with laboratory animals, and experience in establishing primary cell line cultures (model of investigation: mouse) 

- published scientific papers and presentations at conferences

- PhD academic degree in the Interdisciplinary Scientific Area, field: Biotechnology in Biomedicine

- active knowledge of the English language; oral and writing

- experience in working with cell lines and with methods of molecular biology and biochemistry

Eligibility criteria

In addition to the general criteria for establishing an employment relationship from Article 39, Paragraph 7 of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity, candidates should meet the following criteria:

- PhD academic degree in the Interdisciplinary Scientific Area, field: Biotechnology in Biomedicine

- active knowledge of the English language; oral and writing

- experience in working with cell lines and with methods of molecular biology and biochemistry

 

 

In addition to the application form document, applicant needs to provide: Curriculum Vitae (CV), a Certification of Degree, e-mail address of at least one referee, and other evidence needed for satisfying position related selection criteria. 

Fixed-term employment: 4 years. 

The candidate cannot be employed as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Republic of Croatia longer than four years. If the candidate was previously employed as Postdoctoral Fellow, the contract can be signed for a duration that will cover up to four years. In such a case, the candidate must provide previous contracts showing engagement as a Postdoctoral Fellow.

This employment includes a six-month trial period.
