Doctoral student position at the Division of Materials Physics, Laboratory for Thin Films, for research of materials based on germanium quantum structures for use in photosensitive devices.

In addition to the general criteria for establishing an employment relationship from Article 39, paragraphs 4 and 6 of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- university graduate study or university integrated undergraduate and graduate study in the field of natural sciences, field of physics, research direction.
- the overall grade point average at the previous levels of study (undergraduate and graduate, i.e. integrated study) which ensures admission to the doctoral study,
- active knowledge of the English language in speech and writing.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in materials science, especially nanostructured materials, and with affinity for experimental work.

Eligibility criteria
In addition to the application form document, applicant needs to provide: Curriculum Vitae (CV), Diploma, Supplement (undergraduate and graduate, i.e. integrated studies) confirming which exams were passed and which grades obtained, e-mail address of at least one referee, and other evidence needed for satisfying position related selection criteria. – Doctoral Student
Employment relationship for the position of Doctoral student is based on a certain period of 5 years.
With an applicant for the position of Doctoral Student (Assistant position) who has already been employed in the position of Doctoral Student (Assistant position) in the Republic of Croatia, the employment can be contracted only on the remaining time of up to five years.
A candidate who has already been employed as an Doctoral Student is required to submit previous contracts for working as an Doctoral Student.
The employment relationship for the position of Doctoral student is based on a trial period of 6 months.
Selected candidates who have achieved their higher qualifications outside Croatia will be required, before the signing of the employment contract, to obtain the Ruling on the Recognition of Foreign Higher Educational Qualifications issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education.
Doctoral Student is required to enroll in a postgraduate university study (doctoral study).
