Offer Description

Postdoctoral Fellow position in the field of supramolecular chemistry in water within the Division of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Ruđer Bošković Institute, to carry out research on an NPOO-funded project “Supramolecular tubular architectures as nanoreactors for organocatalysis in water” (STARTNOW). The research is focused on developing a novel pH-responsive system for organocatalysis in water, featuring a modular design. The position is available for a period of 2 years or until the end of the project. The workplace with special working conditions requires a medical examination prior to Work contract, which should ensure that candidate’s health is acceptable for work in common conditions in that line of work. If medical indications do not comply those conditions, the Work contract will not be signed.

Specific Requirements

Prerequisites for Appointment to  Postdoctoral Fellow Employment Position:
In addition to the general conditions for employment, applicants must meet the requirements stipulated in Article 43. in the Scientific Activity and Higher Education Act and:

Ph.D. degree in chemistry.
 

The following should be attached to the application form: resume, evidence of the required academic degree and evidence on the fulfilment of other requirements.
Appointment to a  Postdoctoral Fellow position is for temporary  for a period of 2 years or until the end of the project.

Selected candidates who have achieved their higher qualifications outside Croatia will be required, before the signing of the employment contract, to obtain the Ruling on the Recognition of Foreign Higher Educational Qualifications issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education.  

The candidate cannot be employed as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Republic of Croatia for a total of more than four years. 

The employment, according to the Rules of the Recovery and resilience plan for Croatia - for work on a project as Postdoctoral Fellow, can be contracted only with candidates whose period between the completion of doctoral studies and this employment is no longer than 7 years. – 

The employment includes a six-month trial period.
