Offer Description

Competition for the election of one teacher in a teaching position as a lecturer in the area of social sciences, the field of law in an employment relationship for an indefinite period, full-time.

Conditions for election into the teaching position

Candidates for the competition for election to the teaching position must meet the conditions prescribed by the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette 119/2022), the Decision on the Conditions for the Evaluation of Teaching and Professional Activities in the Procedure of Selection for Teaching Positions of the Council of Polytechnics and Colleges of the Republic of Croatia (Official Gazette No. 20/12, 85/13 and 4/15) and the Statute of the Polytechnic "Nikola Tesla" in Gospić.

Along with the signed application, candidates should attach:

• a signed by hand CV with detailed information on teaching, professional and scientific work and a list of papers in electronic form on a CD or DVD or another form of memory transfer in Word format;

• evidence of fulfilment of the conditions prescribed by the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity and the Decision on the Conditions for the Evaluation of Teaching and Professional Activities in the Selection Procedure for Teaching Positions of the Council of Polytechnics and Colleges of the Republic of Croatia (certificates of held public lectures, held classes and mentorships at final or graduate papers ... in electronic form on a CD, DVD or other form of memory transfer exclusively in PDF format, if they have them);

• proof of work experience (certificate or printout from the electronic data record in the field of labor relations maintained by the Croatian Institute for Pension Insurance, not older than the date of publication of this competition);

• papers that are relevant for the selection for the position (only in electronic form on CD, DVD or other form of memory transfer exclusively in PDF format);

• a copy of the decision on the appointment to the profession (if there is a previously conducted procedure);

• the original or a certified copy of the diploma of a completed university or professional graduate study in the scientific area and field

• a decision on the recognition of a foreign educational qualification for those candidates who obtained the qualification abroad;

• proof of the citizenship of the Republic of Croatia or proof of citizenship of another country;

• for candidates who are foreign nationals, proof of knowledge of the Croatian language level C2 according to the common European reference framework for languages.

A candidate who, in his application for the competition, refers to the right of priority in employment in accordance with the Law on Croatian Veterans of the Homeland War and Members of Their Families (Official Gazette No. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21), along with the application for the competition and the proof of meeting the required conditions, is obliged to attach the proof prescribed by Article 103, paragraph 1 of the Act on Croatian Veterans of the Homeland War and their family members, which are published on the website of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans:

A candidate who applies for the competition and calls for priority in employment in accordance with Article 48 point f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civil War Invalids (Official Gazette No. 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93 , 02/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13, 98/19) along with the application for the competition and the proof of meeting the required conditions should attach a decision, i.e. a certificate from which the stated right can be seen, a certificate of unemployment issued by the Croatian Employment Service during the duration of this competition, and evidence from which it is visible how his employment with the last employer ended (decision, contract, agreement, etc.) .

A candidate who, in his application for the competition, calls for priority in employment in accordance with Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities, the consolidated text of the Act (Official Gazette No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18, 32/20) must, in addition to proof of fulfilment of the required conditions, attach an appropriate public document on disability on the basis of which the person can be registered in the register of employed persons with disabilities, and proof showing how his employment with the last employer ended (decision, contract, agreement, etc.).

A candidate who, in his application for the competition, calls for priority in employment in accordance with Article 48 of the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War (Official Gazette No. 84/21) is obliged to submit, in addition to proof of fulfilment of the required conditions, appropriate proof of fulfilment of the conditions for exercising rights employment advantages, which are published on the website of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans:

             Pursuant to Article 13, Paragraph 1 of the Law on Gender Equality (Official Gazette No. 82/08, 69/17), persons of both genders may apply for the competition.

             Applications for the competition and evidence of meeting the criteria must be submitted in electronic form within 30 days from the date of publication of the competition in the Official Gazette to the electronic address: [email protected] with the indication "Application for the  competition - lecturer".

A complete application for the competition  considers an application that contains all the information and attachments listed in this competition.

Incomplete and untimely applications to the competition  will not be considered, nor will applicants of incomplete applications be asked to supplement their application.

By registering for the competition, the candidates of the competition expressly agree that the Polytechnic "Nikola Tesla" in Gospić, as the manager of the collection of personal data, can collect, use and further process data for the purpose of implementing the competition procedure, in accordance with the regulations governing the protection of personal data.
