Assistant Professor - Speech and Language Pathology

The selection of one (1) professor to a scientific-teaching titleand a corresponding scientific-teaching position of an assistant professor (m/f) from the scientific area: Social Sciences; scientific field: Speech and Language Pathology; job status: indefinite period, full-time.

Applicants are expected to meet the requirements prescribed by the Science and Higher Education Act (Official Gazette no. 123/03, 198/03, 105/04, 174/04, 02/07, 46/07, 45/09, 63/11, 94/13 and no. 139/13, 101/14, 60/15, 131/17)

All applicants are required to enclose the following documents:

- CV

- certificate of nationality or proof of another national identity

- a copy of the certificate proving the level of education required and/or the obtained academic title, i.e. doctor of science

- a copy of the Decision on the election to the appropriate scientific title (if the selection process had been carried out) – only for the selection process under number 1

- an overview of scientific, teaching and/or professional activities and works or separate works relevant to the selection

- certificate stating the grade point average during the study – only for the selection process under number 3

- proof of Croatian language proficiency (for applicants who are foreign nationals)

- occupational medicine certificate stating one’s health abilities – the necessary psychophysical traits (for the first selection to the University of Rijeka).

Applicants are required to submit the application and all requested documentation in electronic format as well (on CD).

Applications with proof of the fulfillment of the terms and conditions of the tender are to be submitted within 30 days from the date of release of the tender which was last published in the appropriate media, by postal mail (recommended) or in person at the following address: University of Rijeka, Trg braće Mažuranića 10, 51000 Rijeka, Croatia.

Applicants who are, based on the special regulations, entitled to adduce to their right of priority upon employment, are obliged to refer to their right in the application and submit the proof specified by the special regulations for the exercise of this right. Such applicants are given priority in hiring in relation to other applicants only under equal conditions. In case of applicants who refer to their right of priority upon employment in accordance with the Law on Croatian War of Independence’s Patriotic Defence War Veterans and their family members (Official Gazette no. 121/17), the list of evidence required to exercise this right is available on the website of the Ministry of Patriotic Defence War Veterans: https://gov.hr/moja-uprava/hrvatskibranitelji/zaposljavanje/prednost-pri-zaposljavanju/403 .

Incomplete and unduly submitted applications will not be considered.

By applying to the tender, all applicants explicitly agree that the University of Rijeka as the head of the Personal Data Collection may collect, use and further process the data for the purpose of conducting the tendering process, in accordance with the provisions of General Regulation (EU) no. 2016/679 on Personal Data Protection and the Law on Implementation of the General Regulation on Data Protection (OG no. 42/18).
