University of Zagreb Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology announces

THE INVITATION

for the selection of one associate (m/f) for the associate position of assistant, in the scientific area: Biotechnology, scientific field: Wood Technology, in the Institute of Processes Engineering, for a fixed period of up to 6 years, full-time.

All candidates must meet the general conditions prescribed by the Law on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No. 119/22) and the Statute of the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology of the University of Zagreb:

- completed graduate study in Wood Technology

- the total grade average at the previous levels of study, which ensures admission to the doctoral study in the field of wood technology

- active knowledge of the English language in speech and writing

Additional conditions:

- past recognitions, awards, etc. for excellence in studies

- participation in scientific research work

Along with the signed application for the competition, candidates should attach: a resume with information on education and work experience, proof of the appropriate level of education, a transcript of grades from all years of study with an average, a decision on the recognition of a foreign educational qualification for applicants who obtained the qualification abroad, an electronic record of data recorded in the registry of the Croatian Institute for Pension Insurance issued during the duration of this contest (e-work book), a copy of an identity card or residence card, other evidence specified in the text of the invitation. The above-mentioned evidence is attached in the original or a copy that does not need to be certified. The signed application also includes the applicant's data (name and surname, residential address, telephone number, e-mail, exclusively for the purposes of the selection procedure).

The Faculty reserves the right to conduct a preliminary knowledge and ability check for candidates who meet the formal conditions of the competition. Candidates will be notified of the place and time of the examination by email to the email address they provide in the application. If the candidate does not attend the eximination, it is considered that he has withdrawn his application for the competition.

A candidate who invokes the right of priority in employment is obliged to attach all prescribed documentation according to a special law. A candidate who, in the application for the competition, refers to the right of preference during employment in accordance with Article 102 of the Law on Croatian Veterans of the Homeland War and Members of Their Families (Official Gazette No. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21), with an application to apart from the proof of fulfillment of the required conditions, the public invitation is also obliged to attach the proof prescribed by Article 102, paragraph 1 of the Law, link:

The Faculty reserves the right not to make a decision on the selection of applicants and to cancel or suspend the invitation without special explanation.

The contest is available to both sexes. The terms used in this contest, which have a gender meaning, regardless of whether they are used in the masculine or feminine gender, include both masculine and feminine genders equally.

Pursuant to the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation no. 2016/679 and the Law on the Implementation of the General Regulation on Data Protection (Official Gazette No. 42/18), all documents submitted to the competition were sent by the candidate's free will, and it is considered that the candidate has given consent to the processing of all data, which will be processed exclusively for the purpose of conducting the selection procedure.

Late, incomplete and unsigned applications will not be considered.

The deadline for submitting invitation applications is 30 days from the publication of the invitation in the Official Gazette.
