University of Rijeka, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, announces


  • for the election of one (1) associate to the associate title and replacement position job of Assistant in the scientific area of Social Sciences, scientific field of Economics, scientific branch General Economics for a full-time temporary employment until the return of the employee to work.
  • Applicants have to submit:

    - an extensive CV (signed), with a phone number and e-mail address

    - proof of citizenship (in the form of a copy),

    - proof of impunity (not older than 6 months),

    - an electronic record of the data recorded in the registry of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute,

    - evidence of the relevant academic degree obtained (university study diploma) in the field of economics and other documents

    proving that the applicant meets the requirements for the required position

    - a transcript of grades during the study and other documents to prove that the applicant meets the

    criteria relevant to the election.

    Applicants must meet requirements stipulated by the Act on scientific activity and higher education (Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia No. 123/03, 198/03, 105/04, 174/04, 2/07, 46/07, 45/09, 63/11, 94/13, 139/13, 101/14, 60/15 and 131/17), by the Rulebook on the election procedure for scientific-teaching, artistic-teaching, scientific, teaching and associative positions at the University of Rijeka and by the Statute of the University of Rijeka, and are obliged to provide all relevant evidence.

    Applicants whose mother tongue is not Croatian are required to submit proof of their command of the Croatian language at C2 level of Common European Framework of Reference for languages (check of the command of Croatian at the required level can exceptionally be carried out in oral and/or in written form if the candidate has no written proof on the command of Croatian language). Applicants who acquired their qualification outside the Republic of Croatia must submit a decision on the professional recognition of foreign higher education qualifications issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education.

    The applicants who, on the basis of special regulations, are entitled to priority employment are required to refer to this right and to submit all the evidence prescribed for the exercise of the mentioned rights. Priority in employment over the other candidates will be exercised on equal terms which are defined in this tender.

    Applicants who, pursuant to Article 102 of the Croatian Homeland War Veterans Act and Members of their Families and other special regulations, have the right of preference in employment, and are obliged to invoke that right in the application and to provide all the evidence for the exercise of that right, and have advantage over other applicants only on equal terms.
