The Faculty Council of the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb (hereinafter: the PMF), pursuant to Articles 73 and 77 of the Faculty Statutes, announces the following:
C A L L F O R A P P L I C A T I O N
for the appointment
5) for appointment to the expert position of expert advisor in the science and higher education system in natural science, the field of chemistry, the branch of physical chemistry, for an unlimited term and on a full-time basis, at the Division of Physical Chemistry of the PMF Department of Chemistry- 1 person.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The Call is open to applicants of either gender on equal terms.
In addition to the general terms and conditions of employment, for any point of the Call the applicants must satisfy the requirements set out in the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette No 119/22).
For all points of the Call, in addition to the application the applicants submit : a CV, the relevant diploma, a proof of citizenship.
In addition to the application, the applicants for point 5 of the Call must satisfy the following conditions:
- to have completed a university graduate study programme in Chemistry, research-focused (Master of Chemistry or the pre-Bologna degree of Graduate Engineer of Chemistry);
- 5 years of work experience in the senior expert associate position;
- to have published, since the last appointment to the expert position of a senior expert associate, either as an independent or the first or the main author, three scientific papers, where a scientific paper may be replaced by three scientific papers written in co-authorship, or with an independent or the first or the main authorship of three professional papers related to the relevant field, or to have earned a Doctor of Science degree in natural science, the field of chemistry;
- experience in the physical chemistry of colloids and surfaces, and experience related to the surface characterization techniques, as evidenced by the reprints of published scientific papers.
For point 5, the applicants who qualify for employment preference under the special regulations should refer to the preference in their application and enclose therewith all evidence as listed in the special regulations governing the priority placement rights, as well as all evidence of eligibility and of absence of any impediment to their exercising of the priority placement rights as stipulated under the special regulations. Such applicants will be given employment preference within this Call over other candidates, under the same terms and conditions of the Call, based on a duly completed, complete and timely application, provided that they meet all the terms and conditions of the Call and that they have achieved the top scores in the interview.
An application shall be deemed duly completed and complete if it contains all the data and supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements. Incomplete, disorganised, and late applications shall not be taken into consideration, nor will there be a subsequent invitation to the applicants to amend such applications.
Foreign nationals must provide a Croatian language certificate for point 5 of the Call.
All the applicants applying for point 5, who are fully eligible under the formal terms and conditions of the Call, based on a duly completed, complete and timely application, shall be invited for an interview with the Selection Board.
The applicants for point 5, who satisfy the terms and conditions of the Call, provided that they have submitted a complete, duly completed, and timely application, shall participate in a pre-selection procedure, based on a comparative assessment of the information contained in their respective CVs. Based on the results of the pre-selection procedure, a list of the applicants will be drafted to be invited for an interview with the Selection Board.
The applicants will receive a separate invitation advising them of the time and place of the interview. Any applicants who fail to attend the interview at the time and the place as specified in the separate invitation, shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Call proceedings.
The PMF collects and processes personal data of the applicants taking part in the Call for Applications for positions with the aim of verifying qualifications and eligibility in accordance with the Decision on the Collection, Protection and Processing of Personal Data (CLASSIFICATION No: 035-01/18-01/5; FILE No:251-58-10201-18-2).
The closing date for the submission of applications for the Call is 30 days after the publication of the Call in the Official Gazette.
The results of the Call will be published on the official website of the PMF: www.pmf.unizg.hr (Competitions).
