Based on the decision of the Presidency of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts of 25 May 2022, the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Zagreb, Trg Nikole Šubića Zrinskog 11, announces the following


 
CONTEST
  • For the post of one scholar (1 vacancy) in the function of tenured research adviser, in the scientific area of the humanities, field of archaeology, at the Archaeology Division of the Institute of Historical and Social Sciences of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Zagreb. The working post is of permanent nature.
  • For the post of one scholar (1 vacancy) in the function of research adviser, in the scientific area of the humanities, field of history, at the Institute of Historical Sciences of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Zadar. The working post is of permanent nature.
  • For the post of one scholar (1 vacancy) in the function of senior research associate, in the scientific area of the humanities, field of history, at the Institute of Historical Sciences of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Dubrovnik. The working post is of permanent nature.
  • For the post of one scholar (1 vacancy) in the function of senior research associate, in the scientific area of the humanities, field of economy, at the Institute of Scientific Research and Artistic Work of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Osijek. The working post is of permanent nature.
  • For the post of one scholar (1 vacancy) in the function of senior research associate, in the scientific area of the humanities, field of history, at the Institute of Historical Sciences of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Varaždin. The working post is of permanent nature.
  • For the post of one scholar (1 vacancy) in the function of senior research associate, in the scientific area of the humanities, field of philosophy, at the Division of the Philosophy of Science of the Institute of the History and Philosophy of Science of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Zagreb. The working post is of permanent nature.
  • For the post of one scholar (1 vacancy) in the function of senior research associate, in the scientific area of the humanities, field of archaeology, at the Institute of Quaternary Palaeontology and Geology of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts. The working post is of permanent nature.
  • For the post of one scholar (1 vacancy) in the function of research adviser, in the scientific area of natural sciences, field of biology, at the Institute of Ornithology of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Zagreb. The working post is of permanent nature.
  • For the post of one scholar (1 vacancy) in the function of research associate, in the scientific area of biotechnical sciences, field of agriculture, at the Institute of Scientific Research and Artistic Work of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Požega. The working post is of permanent nature.
  • For the post of one scholar (1 vacancy) in the function of senior research associate, in the scientific area of the humanities, field of the science of art, at the Division of the History of the Croatian Theatre of the Institute of the History of the Croatian Literature, Theatre and Music of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts. The working post is of permanent nature.
  • For the post of one scholar (1 vacancy) in the function of senior research associate, in the scientific area of the humanities, field of philology, at the Linguistic Research Institute of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts. The working post is of permanent nature.

    • Terms and conditions for the appointment to scientific posts

    In addition to the general employment terms and conditions, the terms and conditions set by the Croatian Science and Academic Education Act (Official Gazette no. 123/03; 105/04; 174/04; 2/07; 46/07; 45/09; 63/11; 94/13; 139/13; 101/14; 60/15; and 131/17), candidates ought to meet special terms and conditions set in the Academy Regulations on Special Terms and Conditions for the Appointment to Scientific Posts, available on the website of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (link: https://www.info.hazu.hr/upload/File/2020/ODLUKE-2020/PRAVILNIK-O-DODATNIM-UVJETIMA-ZA-ZNANSTVENA-RADNA-MJESTA-10-194-26-1-2020_02.pdf ).

    Documents to enclose with the written application

  • Proof of academic doctoral degree (copy of doctoral degree diploma in the subject field);
  • Proof of scientific post (copy of decision of election to the scientific post in the subject field);
  • Proof of required working experience;
  • Curriculum vitae, including data as named in Article 19, items “a” and “b” of the Regulations on the Organization of the Operation of District Councils and Central Committees (Official Gazette no. 47/2017);
  • Proof of fulfilling the terms and conditions for the appointment to the working post pursuant to the Academy Regulations on Special Terms and Conditions for the Appointment to Scientific Posts;
  • Copy of certificate of the Croatian citizenship or certificate of a foreign state citizenship;
  • Copy of certificate of no criminal record, issued 6 months previously at the latest.

    • Foreign nationals ought to enclose the proof of the knowledge of the Croatian language (level C2) in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and the certificate on the acknowledgement of foreign academic qualification, issued by the Agency for Science and Academic Education.

    Applications are to be submitted within 30 (thirty) days as of the date of the publication of the contest, to the abovementioned address, with reference: Personnel Department – Contest Application for specific scientific post.

    By applying to the contest, candidates give their express consent to the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, as keeper of the personal data collection, to collect and process the data for the purposes of the contest process, pursuant to regulations stipulating the personal data protection.

    Incomplete and overdue applications shall not be considered.
