Two or three postdoctoral researcher positions in theoretical non-equilibrium physics of quantum many-body systems are available in Prof. Dong E. Liu’s group (at Tsinghua & BAQIS) and Dr. Hong-yi Xie’s group (at BAQIS), beginning in the fall of 2019. The successful candidate will be expected to perform theoretical and/or numerical studies in one of following topics: 1) strong correction, disorder, and topological effects in the interacting non-equilibrium systems; 2) the relation between non-equilibrium statistics mechanics of quantum many-body systems and fault-tolerant quantum computer; 3) quantum transport, decoherence, and thermalization/relaxation mechanisms in quantum many body systems.
With one of the following experiences would be a very strong plus:
• Quantum field theory out of equilibrium, e.g. Keldysh formalism
• Theory of quantum many-body systems
• Quantum information theory, error correction, and fault-tolerant architecture
• Quantum transport, decoherence, and thermalization/relaxation
Appointments will be made with a 2-year initial contract, renewable up to 3 years depending on the performance. The initial salary is 260,000 - 300,000 Chinese Yuan per year according to qualifications. Highly qualified candidates will be recommended as Postdoctoral Fellows at Tsinghua University or BAQIS with salary at least 300,000 Chinese Yuan per year.
• Get Beijing Hu-kou (Household Registration in Beijing);
• help to apply for the government sponsored apartments (BAQIS fellows) and Tsinghua sponsored apartments or subsidy (Tsinghua fellows);
• Commercial medical plan for the successful candidates and their spouses and dependent children;
• Help to enroll dependent children (K1-G12) to high-quality public schools.
