About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to join our collaborative, creative team on our Early Childhood Studies awards and on our flagship Pre-School Education (China) programme taught at Hunan University of Humanities, Science and Technology (HUHST), Hunan Province, China. These programmes, located at Bath Spa University and in China, provide students with a broad and balanced understanding of issues in early childhood and education.

You will join a vibrant academic community to design, develop and deliver engaging learning and teaching opportunities, and to engage in research and scholarly activity. We will support you in developing your teaching, research and publication profile, enabling you to build internal and external networks and seek access to external funding.

About you (requirements)

You will be someone who shares our values and commitment to social justice, student-centred teaching and learning, and providing an excellent student experience. You will have had experience of working with diverse communities of learners and have a clear commitment to teaching in China. You will be an excellent teacher with demonstrable interest in pedagogic innovation, international higher education and will have extensive knowledge and experience in early childhood studies in the UK. You will also have experience in teaching academic study skills in international contexts. If you enjoy working collaboratively and flexibly and being open to new ideas and challenges, this is an exciting role.
