Brunel University London continues to expand its world-renowned engineering activities both in the United Kingdom, Greater London and China, Beijing.

The Brunel London School, North China University of Technology in Beijing is the first Chinese–British transnational education (TNE) school for undergraduates in Beijing. The School is proving very popular with students and thus we are looking to recruit another Lecturer in Engineering. The successful candidate is likely to have a background related to either mechanical, control, robotics or mechatronic engineering.

The successful candidate, primarily based in Beijing, will be part of a team delivering high quality teaching across our two main engineering courses Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The students, taught in English, graduate from Brunel with a BEng (Hons), an internationally recognised qualification.

The first year of technical education received by the students has a proportion of shared content between the two courses, Civil and Mechanical Engineering. Thus, we are looking to appoint a lecturer that can work as part of a teaching team for the shared subject areas as well as deliver in their specialist area. The promotion route to Senior Lecturer and higher is through the Academic (Education) route.

As a diverse and forward-thinking employer, we embed the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion into everything we do. That includes not just our core missions of teaching and research, but also our support for staff, students and our local community.

We’re committed to the wellbeing of all our staff and to the sustainability of our environment, on our campus and beyond. We offer a competitive salary package, excellent pension scheme and a generous annual leave allowance, along with opportunities to develop your career in a supportive and collaborative environment.
