We are now looking for two Lecturers in Automotive Engineering to be co-located at the Wales Institute of Science and Arts (WISA) and Wuhan University of Technology, China, on a two year, fixed term contract.

- THE ROLE -

As a Lecturer in Automotive Engineering, you will work across the WISA and Wuhan University of Technology campuses, delivering automotive engineering lectures and courses.

Focusing on empowering students, particularly our Chinese students, to develop as engineering professionals, you will seek to raise the profile of the UK automotive engineering sector and remove barriers to learning.

You will offer face-to-face and online lectures and workshops and will be required to spend at least 12 weeks per year teaching in Wuhan.

- ABOUT YOU -

To be considered as a Lecturer in Automotive Engineering, you will need:

- A holistic understanding of automotive engineering including management, vehicle design, engineering and manufacturing processes and systems
- Evidence of the ability to deliver teaching, assessment and student support at undergraduate level in at least two relevant subject areas
- Good organisational and personal management skills to balance competing pressures of teaching, scholarship, research, administrative demands and deadlines
- IT proficiency and experience of using e-resources including a willingness to teach by video-link, VLE, e-mail or website delivery
- An honours degree in a relevant discipline and, ideally, a Master’s or PhD

A basic level of Mandarin Chinese, in addition to English, would be beneficial to your application.
