Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Undergraduate Administrator, Sprott School of Business, the incumbent acts as main point of contact for all visitors to the Undergraduate Student Services Office, providing efficient and professional service to all students. Disseminates information and responds to general queries related to academic programs and course registration. Provides triage for students requiring assistance from one of the undergraduate academic advisors. Provides administrative support to all areas of the Undergraduate Office which may include working on special projects. Opens, books and maintains undergraduate student study spaces. Provides administrative support for the Sprott Business Career Management Centre, student clubs and
events.


Qualifications:

The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:
• Working knowledge of MS Office, SARS;
• The ability to adapt to a changing electronic environment;
• Excellent knowledge of the School's and University's structure, procedures, policies and
regulations.
• Thorough knowledge of the School's undergraduate graduate programs;
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills; must have the ability to organize work
effectively in a fast-paced office environment, set priorities and meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Must have the ability to professionally represent the School and deal effectively with
faculty members/contract instructors, students, staff and public;
• Ability to act with discretion, tact and diplomacy when dealing with staff, faculty
members/contract instructors, students and the public;
• Must have demonstrated excellence with time management skills; must have the ability
to simultaneously work on several assignments with pressures of multiple demands, interruptions and changing priorities;
• Must have demonstrated experience working in a highly-collegial, team environment;
• Must have demonstrated excellence in customer service including experience working in
a public service area.


Education and Experience:

The above is normally acquired through the completion of:
• Completion of a three year university degree. Degree in Business Administration or an
acceptable equivalent.
• Minimum three years of directly related administrative experience.
