Teaching assistant position available - PARA 410 Environment and Infection

Position Summary:

Working with small groups of students during case studies; responding promptly and professionally to student questions; grading essays and case study reports.

Lecture: TR 13:05-14:25

Your duties shall be outlined in the Workload form, to be completed by the course lecturer and signed by both parties.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of macroparasite and microparasite infections.  Experience promoting student interactions within small groups.  Previous courses on interaction between infectious diseases and the environment, and on ecological processes preferable.  Experience providing feedback on content and clarity of student’s written work.  Comfortable working remotely with students if needed.     ​

Please note that Teaching Assistants will be required on campus to perform their tasks in person.  Should anything prohibit in-person teaching activities, courses will migrate to remote teaching. In the event of such a change, Teaching Assistants will be advised as soon as possible.  Teaching Assistants may be required to perform tasks suited to a remote/online teaching environment using a virtual learning platform [e.g., Zoom, WebEx] and the McGill myCourses learning management system.
