Course Title:   Introductory Microbiology

Course Number:   MIMM 211

Instructor:   Dr. Benoit Cousineau

Hours of work: (per term)  90  per TA    

Number of TA positions available :   1

Required Duties:

Attend all lectures. Assist lecturers in all audio-visuals. Post lectures and course materials on MyCourses. Answer E-mail queries from students. Guide and support TEAM TAs in their duties. Review relevant lecture material. Conduct two pre-exam tutorials (midterm and final). Help in exam invigilation and exam handling. Invigilate exam review sessions.

Qualifications Required:

Have a B.Sc. or B.A. in Microbiology and Immunology. Preferably a graduate student from Microbiology & Immunology, which would have already taken MIMM 211. Ideally, the candidate has previous experience with online teaching, including the use of teaching tools such as Crowdmark and TurningPoint.

Language Requirements (if relevant):   Effective communication skills in English are essential. An effective communication skill in French is desirable.
