This course requires the Teaching Assistant to be conversant with the material presented in lectures, including systems dynamics, global atmospheric circulation, global biogeochemistry, hydrological cycling, ecosystem interactions, and climate change issues and solutions.

Position Summary:

  • Grades assignments & exams promptly in consultation with instructors;

  • Must be available for grading final exam (Usually within a week after last day of classes)

  • Manages the database of student grades;

  • Responds promptly to communication from course instructors;

  • Holds office hours to respond to student questions following return of assignments & exams.


Qualifications:

Solid understanding of quantitative, system-level approaches to earth, atmospheric and biological science;

 

Effective written and oral communication skills in English, and preferably in French as well and fluency in English and French sufficient to grade assignments and essay answers on exams;

 

Development and posting of material on the course Web page using MyCourses and demonstrated experience with the use of a virtual learning platforms.
