Position Summary:

Graduate student member of the Departmental safety committee.  Needs to be available for safety demonstrations throughout the term.  Other duties will include waste collection and updating departmental best practices for laboratory safety.

The position requires a valid WHMIS certificate and hazardous waste management and disposal training. The TA must also have significant laboratory experience and an excellent safety record in the Department.


Qualifications:

Must have been a TA for this course before.

Must hold a valid WHMIS certificate and hazardous waste management and disposal training certificate.

Must have significant laboratory experience and an excellent safety record in the Department.

This position requires public speaking ability.

Needs to be available for safety demonstrations throughout the term.
