Position Summary:

Assist course instructor and technician with preparation of pre-lab assignments, protocols, lab experiments, quizzes; demonstration, discussion and explanation of experiments and results; maintaining clean lab space during the laboratory sessions and storing materials and clean up at the end of labs sessions; grading quizzes and lab reports.

Qualifications:

The TA should be familiar with experimental work in the following disciplines: Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Analytical Chemistry. These include DNA extraction, cloning, protein expression, microbial transformation, metabolite extraction methods, advanced chromatography (gas or liquid chromatography), mass spectrometry. Experience in Yeast/ bacteria manipulation is an as asset

Knowledge of course content/have taken the course is an asset
