Are you up to challenges and thrive in an energetic, creative work environment? Are you experienced in enterprise information systems and have experience using project management and quality assurance methodologies? Within a highly interactive team environment, we are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Lead to join our Workday Implementation team. In this role, you will work closely with a cross-functional team to lead, implement, and oversee the development of test plans, testing strategies and frameworks using Quality Assurance best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities:

As the Quality Assurance Lead, you will provide QA support and work closely with the Workday implementation team to ensure testing is complete, accurate, and adheres to best practices, standards, and methodologies. Specific tasks include the following:

  • Test Case Administration: Develop, maintain, and execute test cases, ensuring accurate documentation and traceability.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain documentation quality standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Review and evaluate technical documentation, including user manuals, specifications, guides, and other related materials.
  • Utilize the test management tool to create test cases and suites for each level of testing - functional, API, UI, data validation, end-to-end, performance, security, regression, and release tests.
  • Responsible for planning, coordination, and facilitation of testing activities across various phases of the Workday implementation.
  • Lead and mentor other team members, providing guidance and oversight in all quality assurance activities.
  • Take the lead in developing and implementing test automation strategies, frameworks, and detailed test cases for the automation scripts.
  • Manage and maintain test data sets, ensuring data integrity and security during testing activities.
  • Prepare and present workstream test plans and reporting documents.
  • Define and implement a comprehensive quality assurance plan encompassing best practices, standards, and methodologies tailored to the organization’s needs.
  • Oversee test environment provisioning and maintenance, ensuring consistency across testing phases.
  • Identify data anomalies and requirements gaps.
  • Create complex SQL queries for data validation.
  • Driving continuous improvement in test coverage and test effectiveness
  • Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements, and design test plans to ensure the implemented solution meets the business outcomes and requirements.
  • Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.
  • Partner with the Project Manager and Team to create an estimate for testing activities.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks and time.
  • Effectively responding to conflicting requirements and resource demands is a necessity.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to function in a dynamic and demanding work environment.
  • Ability to effectively track and document issues and their resolutions.

 

Qualifications:

  • Related post-secondary degree or diploma
  • Experience working in a post-secondary educational institution is considered an asset.
  • Flexibility in hours and days are required to meet deadlines.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Solid understanding and experience with at least one modelling tool like UML.
  • Experience writing test plans, including functional and non-functional test cases.
  • Experience estimating, scheduling, and supervising the test effort in collaboration with project managers.
  • Experience with one or more database platforms and tools: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL.     

 

Remuneration: $79,795.82 - $105,715.48 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
