Position Summary:

Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the Sports Specialist will be responsible for creating and executing skill-developing lesson plans for their assigned sport section. They are expected to adapt their lessons to the campers’ abilities and/or age group and focus or skill progression throughout the week.

During their assigned week with the Academy of Sport Program, the Sport Specialist along with each group’s Camp Instructor will be expected to assist the coach of their assigned sport.

Duties:

  • Based on the designated sport allocated, create daily lesson plans tiered for each section.
  • Lead lessons with the assistance of the instructors.
  • Report and/or contact the Winsor clinic of any incidents requiring immediate medical attention.


Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

  • Proficient in sport allocated
  • Knowledgeable in camp environment an asset
  • Knowledge of French and English. McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.


Minimum Education and Experience:


High School Diploma 1 Year Related Experience


Hourly Salary:


(AMUSE C) $15.82
