In the appointment of Student Assistant, your general duties and responsibilities will be:
Preparing, delivering and/or attending lectures/labs; demonstrating, marking, student consulting, setting up experiments, and conferring with the supervisor in charge as required by the assignment.

Your general location of work will be the Engineering Building, Saskatoon Campus.

Required Number of Hours: up to 12 hours per week
Duration of Employment: 2024-01 Winter Term

Qualifications (Skills and Abilities)
Minimum

Undergraduate student currently enrolled in Chemical Engineering or Graduate student in good standing enrolled in the College of Engineering.

Good English language oral and written communication skills.

Completion of the University of Saskatchewan online Laboratory Safety and WHMIS training courses.

Ideal

MSc or PhD student in good standing in Chemical and/or Biological Engineering with an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Saskatchewan.

Excellent English language oral and written communication skills.

Previous experience as an instructor or teaching assistant.

Prior training in marking and learning facilitation

Coursework, research, or industrial experience that is relevant to the specific class or laboratory.

Familiarity with specific equipment used in the laboratory (if applicable).
