Part-time opportunity located at Macdonald Campus, for McGill students. Students currently studying at Macdonald Campus are encouraged to apply. Students eligible under the Work Study program are also encouraged to apply.


Hiring Unit:
Student Affairs Office - Agricultural & Environmental Sciences
Position Summary:
Hosts campus tours, generally in person, and some virtual "yield events". [training will be provided]

(i) Greets clients and answers general inquiries with a positive attitude. This includes directing calls, provide policies and procedures as well as providing locational directions.
(ii) Schedules meetings, tours or events when required.
(iv) Prepares documents such as promotional materials, marketing materials and emails. Such preparation may include taking photos, sorting, collating, filing, scanning, photocopying and shredding.
(vi) Provides general assistance at events such as open house and alumni events.
(vii) Acts as guide during tours of campus and libraries providing information and details regarding the area.

Additional information: Weekly hours vary depending on event schedule and tasks assigned. For campus tours, must be available either Monday mornings or Friday mornings.


Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
Communication skills. Experience or confidence with making oral presentations such as giving tours to groups of students and their parents. Ability to clearly present information & answer questions . Exhibit customer service approach and enthusiasm. Flexibility and dependability required. Being currently enrolled in programs offered at the Macdonald Campus is an asset.
