Course Description: 

This course builds on the foundation of PSY201H5  to explore a variety of statistical procedures used in psychology research, understand the factors that maximize the validity of research findings, and to develop effective strategies to communicate research findings.

Estimated course enrolment:  80

Estimated TA Support: 224 hours (total number of assigned hours is dependent on course enrolment and course approval)

Wednesday 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. 

Friday 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Sessional dates of appointment:

July 2,2024 to August 30,2024

Salary: (In accordance with CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement):

•  $9,457.90 for Sessional Lecturer I
•  $9,930.79 for Sessional Lecturer I - Long Term
•  $10,121.77 for Sessional Lecturer II
•  $10,326.62 for Sessional Lecturer II - Long Term 
•  $10,362.76 for Sessional Lecturer III
•  $10,570.02 for Sessional Lecturer III - Long Term 

Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail. 

Qualifications: The candidate must have a PhD degree or be in the final stages of a PhD.  The decision on hiring will be based on previous teaching experience in this course or other similar courses, academic qualifications and suitability for the position.

Description of duties: Preparation and delivery of course content; creation of course material, development and administration of assignments, tests and examinations; the supervision of teaching assistants for leading tutorials and grading and marking student work; submission of final grades to appropriate University officials in accordance with policy; the maintenance of reasonable hours for student contact outside of scheduled contact hours.
