Description:
This course introduces students to the production of digital moving image artworks. Students are encouraged to work in all production and postproduction forms including live video recording, GIFs and animation. In addition to hands-on instruction to cameras and editing software, this course includes individual and group critiques, seminars, and critical viewing of contemporary moving image artworks.

P0101 - Tuesday & Thursday 10:00am - 1:00pm
Sessional Dates of Appointment: July 1, 2023 to August 31, 2023
Estimate of the course enrolment: Approximately 20 students per section
Salary: Sessional Lecturer I - $8,489.67; Sessional Lecturer I Long Term - $8,869.25; Sessional Lecturer II - $9,085.58; Sessional Lecturer III - $9,301.90

Minimum Qualifications: MFA (or equivalent graduate degree) required with teaching experience. Strong exhibition and/or screening history and currently exhibiting artist showing artist’s film and video. Applicants will be asked to supply references.
Description of Duties: Preparation and delivery of course material; managing digital teaching materials, supervision of teaching assistants; preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations, and deferred final examinations; marking of student work, submission of grades, dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions, and student contact hours.
