Education
Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the position.

ALA accredited M.L.S./M.L.I.S. degree is considered an asset.

Experience
Extensive experience in the development and delivery of client-facing information services, such as library services, knowledge/research services, information and data management services.
Extensive experience in developing and implementing policies, processes and performance measurement frameworks.
Extensive experience leading teams and managing projects.
Extensive experience managing human and financial resources.

Extensive knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, tools and solutions used to enable the delivery of client-focused information services.
Knowledge of the legal and policy framework for the management of information and data in the Government of Canada, including the roles of central agencies, as well as current trends and approaches in information service delivery in a government context.
Extensive knowledge of the theories, principles and practices associated with the design and delivery of services to clients, including training and awareness programs.
Demonstrated ability to build teams and collaborative networks, manage change, and to develop and sustain stakeholder relationships in a research and innovation environment.

Relocation
Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC’s directives.

Compensation
From $57,220 to $161,754 per annum.
In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
