Position Summary:

90%

  • Carries out research activities, including:
  • fieldwork preparation, including ordering of supplies and equipment, helping to ensure timely delivery of subcontracts, reimbursement payments, and other administrative tasks
  • data cleaning and collation
  • database management
  • data analysis including development of summary statistics and statistical models
  • Assists with the transfer of research findings to actors internal and external to the program, including preparation of:
  • research presentations,
  • peer-reviewed articles, yearly grant reports, policy briefs, websites, and other forms of knowledge translation.

  • Plans and oversees organization of meetings (in-person and remote), conferences and special events. Collaborates and communicates with team members, including research staff, co-investigators, trainees, and decision maker partners.
  • Maintains relationships with external partners and funders. Assists in developing mechanisms for the continued engagement and collaboration of project partners.
  • Develops and implements procedures and quality controls to enhance the operation of the program of research and provides administrative direction regarding goals and objectives related to research activities.
  • Performs all administrative procedures necessary for the efficient functioning of the research project, both within the university and in interactions with funders. Participates in establishing financial priorities with the supervisors and plans, develops and monitors budgets related to the program of research. Ensures compliance with University, HEI, and Tri-council policies. Acts as an interface with the McGill RGO and McGill IRB.
  • Contributes to the conception and application phase of new initiatives to further develop and continue implementation of the broader research program, including project development, funding applications, CV management, recruitment of partner organizations, and knowledge translation activities.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree required.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ of work experience.
  • Experience in database management, research project coordinating including drafting reports, managing complex budgets.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.

$28.44
