Position Details | The University’s Financial Services Department is seeking applications for the position of Resource Analyst commencing February 19, 2025. This is a full-time continuing position. Reporting to the Director of Resource Planning, the incumbent will be responsible for monitoring the University’s operating budget (primarily the salary and benefits) for variances between planned and actual revenue and expenditures. The incumbent will also be responsible for monthly account reconciliations, processing and approving accounting transactions, data analysis, financial and budget reporting support, and various other projects as they arise. This position is responsible for ensuring there are internal controls in place to mitigate budgetary risks. As a department, we encourage critical thinking, questioning and recommendations from all staff to strengthen our processes, services and team. The University of Lethbridge is undertaking a job classification and compensation review for Administrative Professional Officer (APO) positions. As such, the salary range currently assigned for this position may be adjusted as a result of this project. |
Position Qualifications | The ideal candidate will have a University Management degree with a minimum of two years related work experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with MS Office, including a strong working knowledge of Excel and Word. Experience working in a post-secondary institution and with budgets would be considered an asset. The candidate must have exceptional attention to detail, both strong organizational and communication skills as well as a proven ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines.
