RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary
We are looking for a project manager for a research project on the implementation of rapid diagnostic tests (RDTs) for syphilis in non-traditional settings, in five Nunavik communities. This is a CIHR-funded Stepped Wedge trial carried out in close collaboration between the RI-MUHC, the NRBHSS, and the communities involved. The successful candidate must demonstrate a high level of organizational skills, independence and flexibility in a rapidly changing environment. Their involvement with the project is expected for 9-12 months.

General Duties
• Liaise with all the actors of the different villages,
• Coordinate the travel schedule, transportation and accommodation of members,
• Manage the hiring of study teams,
• Manage project financial accounts,
• Manage material orders,
• Manage data entered into REDCap from testing sites,
• If necessary, travel to Nunavik to support the study teams.


Education / Experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree
Field of Study: Nursing, Epidemiology or related field of study content.

Work Experience:
• Familiarity with Nunavik is an asset,
• Field project management experience,
• Experience in managing the finances and human resources required for the success of the project ,
• Familiarity with the culture of the Inuit people is a great asset, as are community ties.


Additional information

Status: Temporary, part time (9 to 12-month contract with possibility of renewal)
Pay Scale: $29.85 to $55.43/hour Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift:15- 20 hours/week from Monday to Friday
Work Site: Hybrid (may have to travel to Nunavik)
