Position Summary: o Implement cutting-edge techniques for food processing digital twin systems development and apply machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence to make data acquisition and analysis more efficient. o Perform large-scale experimentation to identify hidden relationships between process variables in large datasets. o Create advanced machine learning algorithms such as regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, and neural networks to quantify product characteristics during food/ingredient processing. o Develop web scrapping techniques to extract data from online stores using multiple programming languages. o Visualize digital twin and experimental data to enable evidence-based decisions and conclusions. o Develop artificial intelligence models and algorithms to be implemented in process-based decision-support systems for the pulse industry. o Coordinate research and analysis activities using unstructured and structured data and using programming to clean and organize data.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in bioresource engineering or food engineering o Demonstrated skillset in machine learning, deep learning, software engineering, and artificial intelligence.
