The Research Assistant/Technician 2 position in the Yachie Laboratory (https://yachie-lab.org/ ) will be assisting the construction of a virtual human lung cell in the School of Biomedical Engineering (SBME) at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
The Yachie Laboratory at the UBC SBME has been developing synthetic biology and cell engineering technologies to understand dynamic behaviors of cells in mammalian body systems. Leveraging new types of datasets obtained from these approaches and single-cell genomics measurement, we envision the establishment of a universal cell agent-based model. Our first target will be the establishment of a human lung cell model that interprets lung cell differentiation and diverse lung disorders. We are seeking a Research Assistant/Technician 2 who assists with single-cell genomics data analyses.
