Position Summary:

A Research Assistant is needed for a faculty-wide project focusing on social responsibility in working with Indigenous communities.   

Research Assistant will assist in the following research tasks:

  • Conducting literature reviews

  • Transcribing conversations and discussions carried out as part of the consultative process with Indigenous communities and other research teams

  • Setting up team meetings and note taking

  • Assisting with the organizing of knowledge mobilization activities

  • Sharing ideas and experience about research with Indigenous Communities during meetings


Qualifications:

  • Must be a currently enrolled Graduate Student at McGill University

  • Background in education, sociology, gender studies or a related discipline, with knowledge of the issues facing Indigenous communities in Canada

  • Interest in organizing knowledge mobilization activities

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
