Prof. Jodoin is seeking to recruit three law students to join his lab as research assistants this summer. The research assistants will work full-time for all or part of the summer of 2024 and will have the opportunity to work part-time during the 2024-2025 school year.

The research assistants will conduct legal and policy research, collect and analyze data, co- author research, and provide editing and formatting assistance. They may also be invited to participate in, and present research, at conferences and meetings held in Canada or abroad. The research assistants will work on research and applied projects addressing the linkages between human rights, health, and the environment (for an overview of research themes and recent publications, see www.sjodoin.ca), with one research assistant specifically assigned to join the team of the Disability-Inclusive Climate Action research programme (see www.disabilityinclusiveclimate.org ).

Qualifications Required: Must be a current law student at McGill University.

Qualifications required: Excellent legal analysis and writing skills in English or French, excellent oral communication skills, demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, excellent sense of initiative, excels at working with others, and attention to detail.

Assets: Knowledge and prior experience with the fields of disability, health, or environmental justice are an asset for all three positions. Training in and experience with qualitative or quantitative methods or conducting interviews is an asset for one of these positions. Demonstrated ability to use canva and squarespace is an asset for one of these positions. Familiarity with India or knowledge of an Indian language are an asset for one of these positions.

Hourly Rate: 21 CAD for students that hold a cégep degree; 23 CAD for students that hold a bachelor’s degree; and 25 CAD for students that hold a master’s or doctoral degree.

Le professeur Jodoin cherche à recruter trois étudiants en droit pour rejoindre son laboratoire en tant qu'assistants de recherche cet été. Les assistants de recherche travailleront à temps plein pendant tout ou partie de l'été 2024 et auront la possibilité de travailler à temps partiel pendant l'année scolaire 2024-2025.

Les assistants de recherche mèneront des recherches juridiques et politiques, collecteront et analyseront des données, coécriront des recherches et fourniront une assistance à l'édition et à la mise en forme.
