RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary
The Steinberg-Bernstein Centre of Minimally Invasive Surgery is a multidisciplinary program charged with coordinating research and educational activities in Minimally Invasive Surgery across surgical specialties at McGill University. The Centre is seeking a highly motivated individual for one-year regular full-time position as a research assistant.

General Duties
• Work with the principal investigators to design and conduct projects focused on the implementation of evidence-based interventions to improve surgical outcomes in routine clinical practice,
• Liaise with external collaborators,
• Engage in administrative duties related to projects,
• Assist with reports, manuscripts, and grant applications.

• Master of Science (MSc) or equivalent in a health, related discipline,
• High level of competency in operating computers and software programs,
• Superior written and verbal communication skills in French and English,
• Experience in database creation and management for quality improvement or clinical research,
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team,
• Competency in project management.

Status: Temporary, full time (with possibility of renewal)
Pay Scale: $47,320.00 - $65,000.00 / Based on RI-MUHC salary scale and commensurate with experience and qualifications
Work Shift: 8 AM to 4 PM Mondays to Fridays (May require flexible workdays/hours)
Work Site: Montreal General Hospital and Royal Victoria Hospital
