Study of Racial Discrimination in Housing (literature review) – This project studies racial discrimination in landlord-tenant tribunals across Canada. The RA will work on an literature review.

Law, Race, and Capitalism (reader) – the RA will assist in assembling and formatting a CoursePack for the upper-year Course on Race, Law, and Capitalism .

Legal Histories of Race (Annotated Reader) – I have been assembling primary documents on segregation, slavery, and other forms of racial exploitation in Canada. My RA last summer made some headway on this project but we found that materials are extremely difficult to locate and take quite a bit of time. The RA this summer would work on finding documents as well as on formatting a collection.

**Please note that the hours/week are flexible and may be done through the summer or in a concentrated way at the start or end of the summer.

Description de l'emploi :

1.         Étude de la discrimination raciale dans le domaine du logement (analyse documentaire) - Ce projet étudie la discrimination raciale dans les tribunaux des propriétaires-locataires à travers le Canada. L'AR travaillera sur une revue de la littérature.

2.         Droit, race et capitalisme (lecteur) - l'AR aidera à assembler et à formater un CoursePack pour le cours de deuxième année sur la race, le droit et le capitalisme.

3.         Legal Histories of Race (Annotated Reader) - J'ai rassemblé des documents primaires sur la ségrégation, l'esclavage et d'autres formes d'exploitation raciale au Canada. Mon assistant à la recherche de l'été dernier a fait quelques progrès dans ce projet, mais nous avons constaté que les documents sont extrêmement difficiles à trouver et qu'ils prennent beaucoup de temps. L'AR de cet été travaillera à la recherche de documents ainsi qu'à la mise en forme d'une collection.
