Department of Mathematics & Statistics (Professor Masoud Asgharian)

Position Summary:

• Conduct Experiments: Design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments related to Large Language Models (LLMs). This may involve Python/C++ programming, data collection, and the use of advanced technologies.
• Perform data analysis using relevant Machine Learning (ML) tools such as Pytorch, interpret results, and present findings to the research team. Collaborate with other students to ensure accurate and meaningful interpretation of results.
• Stay abreast of current literature and research developments in the field. Summarize and integrate relevant information to contribute to the overall research strategy.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including researchers, scientists, and students. Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
• Documentation and Writing Research Papers: Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, methodologies, and results.
• Prepare reports and scientific papers to submit to international conferences.

Qualifications:

PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering,

    Computer Science, or Statistics. Proven experience in a research setting, with a track record of successful publication in top AI conferences such as NeurIPS,  ICML, ACL.  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a

team-oriented environment.  Experienced in Python/C++ programming and AI software tools such as Pytorch.  Adaptability and a proactive approach to learning new skills and techniques related to Statistical Machine Learning.
