The Project Manager will provide support for the development of Museum Hue’s online platform centering Black, Indigenous, and all people of color arts and culture entities. This position recommends and implements procedures and communications, as well as maintains accurate records of organizational plans. The Project Manager will provide support for the development of Museum Hue’s online platform centering Black, Indigenous, and other people of color arts and culture entities. This position recommends and implements procedures and communications, as well as maintains accurate records of organizational plans. This position will ensure the efficient and effective management of data and content needed for the project which includes the following:
Responsibilities:
- Compile a comprehensive list of Black, Indigenous, and other people of color’s arts and culture entities;
- Lead project design meetings and identify project requirements, scope and objectives;
- Plan and facilitate community meetings, focus groups, listening sessions, and workshop;
- Plan and manage team goals, project schedules, and new information;
- Manage and keep workflow on track;
- Manage project-related documents by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed, and stored;
- Prepare and review meeting minutes, emails, and action items;
- Adhere to the budget by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures;
- Help cultivate relationships with arts leaders and other stakeholders;
- Answer inquiries, provide follow-up, and log calls from response to resolution;
- Make recommendations for services and databases to utilize;
- Produce collateral and content centering the project, which includes creating and implementing a digital multimedia strategy: including but not limited to social media campaigns, flyers, blog posts, articles, etc;
- Write compelling copy that helps in marketing, fundraising, etc as required;
- Issue press releases and media alerts as necessary;
Qualifications:
- Has access to technology to work remotely;
- Can attend in-person meetings (once a month or as needed in accordance with COVID-safe policies);
- Strong project management skills;
- Familiarity with New York’s arts and culture landscape;
- Interest in Black, Indigenous, and other people of color’s arts and culture;
- At least 2-3 years experience in the arts & culture field;
- Professional interpersonal communication skills, written, oral, and over Zoom;
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, and interpreting data skills;
- Well-organized, attentive to details, and goal-oriented;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Suite, Zoom, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter);
- Enjoys working in teams and collaborating; and has a good sense of humor.
Additional Information:
- This position works a 40-hour workweek, generally Monday through Friday.
- Reports directly to Museum Hue’s Executive Director.
- Includes a comprehensive benefits package.
- Classified as Full Time employment.
- Compensation is $70,000 annually.

- No educational minimum requirement to be considered for the position as long as the applicant has equivalent/relevant experience.
