Description:

About us:

The University of Toronto Scarborough is a place of energy, enthusiasm and passion. Our commitment to inclusive excellence attracts the brightest learners, scholars and employees from around the globe. Our success has been made possible by the opportunity given to us by our Indigenous hosts to operate on their territory, and we cherish our continuing partnerships with these communities. The University of Toronto Scarborough is an exciting campus with unlimited potential. Join us on our journey.

The 300-acre UTSC campus has grown from its early buildings, designed by architect John Andrew and inspired by the dramatic landscape of the Highland Creek Valley to include new residential, athletics, research and teaching facilities. Expansion has been guided by the strong fundamentals of the original Scarborough College with a commitment to high quality architecture, natural open spaces, deep environmental considerations and a student-centered experience. Within this context, the University of Toronto Scarborough’s Department of Design and Construction Management offers a unique opportunity to undertake a diverse range of project types within a similarly diverse range of buildings. The Department’s projects involve renovations and additions to existing buildings with construction budgets, which typically range from $50K to $10M. Our goal is to create innovative and timely solutions that will contribute to enhancing the built environment for faculty, students and staff in support of the University’s mission.

This search aligns with the University’s commitment to strategically and proactively promote diversity among our community members (Statement on Equity, Diversity & Excellence ). Recognizing that Black, Indigenous, and other Racialized communities have experienced inequities that have developed historically and are ongoing, we strongly welcome and encourage candidates from those communities to apply.
